Age Categories:

1. Adults 18 and older 2. Youth Under 18

Classes:
1. Signs of spring
2. Floral closeup
3. Early morning view
4. In the veggie patch

5. O Canada – red and/or white flowers
6. Landscape View – your interpretation

Judging Points Scale:

Horticultural Value 40%, Photographic Value 40%, and Appearance & Impact 20%
Rules
1. Photos must have been taken in Ontario and/or Quebec.
2. Only one entry per exhibitor per class.
3. The same image may be entered only once.
4. Photos may be adjusted for lighting and colour balance but should not be enhanced by adding or
eliminating photo elements.
5. Email to deepriverhortsoc@gmail.com– submit line – Photo Competition. Please provide entries in
jpg format with as high a resolution as possible.
6. Include the age category, class name, and class number for each photo submitted.

Deadline for submission of photos is October 1, 2026.
First, second and third place winners in each class and age category, as well as overall winners will be
announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the fall.
